FEAR FACTORY PARTIALLY “RECHARGE” THEMSELVES WITH NEW SONG SNIPPET

Round about the time Fear Factory reunited and released Mechanize in 2010, I remember being surprised at the outpouring of love from unexpected corners of the critical metalsphere (i.e. Decibel Magazine’s front cover). Metalheads, like most humans, are nothing if not nostalgic for our teenage years, so if you started listening to metal during a certain time period then Fear Factory are probably a very important band for you. For that reason, Fear Factory are a very important band, period. I get that; Fear Factory should not be denied their seat in the metal pantheon. They just never did a whole lot for me personally.

So, lots of folks who aren’t me will probably be very excited that Fear Factory are set to release a new album, The Industralist, on April 24th on June 5th (the single comes out on April 24th). Here’s a 50-second preview of the first single to be released from that album, “Recharger.” It sure does sound a lot like Fear Factory! Chime in with your thoughts in the comments.
