EURONYMOUS’ FACE WILL NOT BE ON NORWEGIAN AIRLINE JETS

Well, this is a bummer; after Øystein Aarseth, aka Euronymous, was by far the top vote-getter in a 10th anniversary contest held by Norwegian Air to adorn their jets’ tailfins with a famous Norwegian face, the slain Mayhem guitarist’s mug is not going to be flying the skies after all.

Faced with a potentially controversial decision to keep their commitment of choosing the top-voted celebrity, the Norwegian Air brass got let off the hook easy: Euronymous’ family politely requested that he be taken out of the running. They did not give a reason.

Oh well. Guess I won’t be travelling to Norway anytime soon to try and catch a ride on one of those bad boys.
