IHSAHN’S NEW ALBUM GETS A TITLE, RELEASE DATE, COVER ARTWORK, TRACKLISTING AND SOUND SAMPLES!
Oh, Amazon UK, how I love thee for always spilling the beans! Everyone’s favorite pre-release sound sample bank has posted details about Ihsahn’s upcoming album, which until now we’d only heard referenced when Ihsahn lent his vocals to Jeff Loomis and revealed that Loomis had returned the favor on his own forthcoming new album. Here’s what we’ve got now:
- The new album will be caled Eremita (possibly a reference to Marcus Emerita, a 5th century Christian theologian and ascetic writer)
- It will be released on June 18th via Candlelight Records (probably June 19th in the U.S.)
- It has 9 songs, three of which are over 7:00 long.
- The cover is posted above.
- Track 8, “The Grave,” has saxophone in it. Shining’s Jørgen Munkeby once again? We can only speculate.
Check out the tracklisting and listen to album samples here. Get excitebike!!
