BEHEMOTH: BANNED IN OHIO
Behemoth are scheduled to make their triumphant return to North America next week as the headliners of The Decibel Magazine Tour (dates here) — their first tour of the continent since Nergal was diagnosed with leukemia in 2010. But the comeback has already hit a small hitch — namely, that The Brewmaster’s Gate, the Columbus, Ohio venue where the tour was scheduled to kick off on April 11, has now banned the tour from appearing there due to — you guessed it! — religious beliefs.
From Behemoth’s Facebook page:
The Al Rosa, of course, has its own special significance in the metal world — it’s where Dime was shot and killed in 2004. Nonetheless, we’re glad the tour was able to find another home, and that Ohio fans will still be able to see these great bands live.
Meanwhile, if you happen to live in Ohio, please feel free to drop by The Brewmaster’s Gate and politely tell them to go fuck themselves.
