MESHUGGAH’S “BREAK THOSE BONES” VIDEO SURE IS DARK

Meshuggah have unveiled their new video for “Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion,” which you can watch below. It’s a performance video, but it’s… well, it’s certainly different. Director Owe Lingvall mixes normal speeds with slow motion, which isn’t exactly new. But he also dresses the entire band in black — I know, “A metal band in black? SHOCKING!”, but wait — then he put them against a black background, too. The result is that the members of the band are often less-than-perfectly visible.

I’m not sure yet if I like it or not — but I’ll definitely remember it.
