DID OPETH DELIBERATELY SCORE THE DALI/DISNEY SHORT DESTINO?
Someone has rather cleverly figured out that Opeth’s “I Feel the Dark,” from last year’s Heritage, syncs up perfectly with Destino, a short film Salvador Dali made for Disney. (Brief digression: Salvador Dali made something for Disney? WTF?) And of course your instinct when you see something like this, which works so very perfectly, is that it had to be deliberate — like what Blotted Science did with last year’s The Animation of Entomology. But I don’t really know why the band would go to all that trouble and not make it common knowledge that they did so. My guess is that this is really just a great coincidence, like the whole Dark Side of the Rainbow thing.
But whether it was intentional or not is kinda beside the point — the point being that it’s really entertaining. Check it out:
