Vince and I were dorking out about Meshuggah’s Koloss last week — it’s been a consistent participant in both of our respective playlists as of late — when Mr. Neilstein noted how much he loved the album’s slow groove. Truth is, there aren’t many faster songs on the album — “The Demon’s Name is Surveillance” is pretty much it, and “Do Not Look Down” is more or less indicative of the pace of most of the album.

But that’s not a bad thing at all. Koloss may end up being the 2012 album to get stoned to.

Everyone else, uhh… just get really, really excited about March 26, when Nuclear Blast will release Koloss. I’ll try to have a proper review completed before then.
