COLD ARE LIVING THE “AMERICAN DREAM”

Because of three people in Poughkeepsie who care, Cold are still around, and their drummer still dyes his hair in such as a way as to be an embarrassment to bipeds everywhere. And now the band has released a new video, for a song called “American Dream.”

The title is ironic, in case you couldn’t guess. Like, the American Dream in the song isn’t coming from humble beginnings and working hard and rising to the top, it’s leaving your small town to get famous only to find your family is still dysfunctional when you return years later. And as is befitting this band’s audience, the video illustrates that story line in the most simple-minded, clichéd, sub-Saved by the Bell way (for example, the genius moment when the girl hugs her mom, and her smile fades).

And as a bonus, the song is irredeemable shit.
