“FERTILE GREEN”: THE NEW HIGH ON FIRE SONG IS KILLER
If you’ve been as anxious to hear some new High on Fire as we have, well, you’re in luck! Pitchfork has just debuted a track from the band’s forthcoming album, De Vermis Mysteriis.
And it doesn’t disappoint — even by High on Fire standards, it is fast, furious, and, perhaps best of all, MASSIVE. I was just headbanging to it and I think I gave myself whiplash… which is always a good sign in my book!
Start your own personal circle pit here, then weigh in with your thoughts in the comments section below. De Vermis Mysteriis – it means “mysteries of the worm” — comes out on April 3 via eOne. The band also released a limited edition split 7″ with the mighty Valient Thorr via Volcom’s Vinyl Club — you can listen to Valient Thorr’s side of the split here.
And as if all that wasn’t enough, High on Fire is headlining MetalSucks’ own South by South Death showcase at SXSW in Austin, Texas on Wednesday, March 14; Darkest Hour, Nachtmystium, Intronaut, Black Tusk, Holy Grail, and MonstrO are all also on the bill, making it the can’t-miss metal event of the festival. After that, High on Fire will be part of this summer’s Rockstar Energy Mayhem Tour alongside Slipknot, Slayer, Anthrax, As I Lay Dying, and a bunch of other bands. Get dates for that tour here.
