CINEMETAL ROUND-UP: LIVE PERFORMANCE VIDEO EDITION FEATURING AS I LAY DYING, DARK TRANQUILLITY, AND DELIVER US FROM EVIL
I’m going to put about as much effort into this introduction as —
We begin today’s trifecta of live performance videos with “Paralyzed,” the new clip from As I Lay Dying. There’s really nothing you haven’t seen before here, but it’s a really good a live performance video (I dunno why, but guitar cam shots never get old for me) and I happen to like AILD, so it’s going above the jump. Deal, sucka.
Next up is Dark Tranquillity’s video for “In My Absence.” I could literally cut and past everything from my description of the As I Lay Dying video here, just swapping out AILD’s name for DT and taking out the bit about being above the jump, and it would all still apply. Only thing is, in this video, they took those little cameras they stick to the necks of guitars and put them, like EVERYWHERE. So if you’re like me and you inexplicably get excited by those kinds of shots, you are just going to splooge everywhere while watching this.
And we conclude today with “Death Mortar,” from Deliver Us From Evil. Alas, there is a depressing lack of guitar cams in this clip. But the song is really, really catchy, and if you were ever a fan of the NWOAHM, you are going to slurp this shit up with a straw. Check it out:
