HOLY CRAP: DECAPITATED SURVIVE PLANE CRASH

Yesterday, I saw this incredible video online of a plane flying from New York to Warsaw making an emergency landing… with its wheels still up:

What I didn’t know until Metal Underground reported it this morning, though, is that Decapitated were on the plane.

The band is alright — in fact, someone, everyone on the plane is fine — but they’ve (understandably) had to cancel two upcoming appearances: one at the Damnation Festival in Leeds, and one at the Aalborg Metal Festival.

Considering the band suffered a major traffic accident in 2007 that killed Vitek, the band’s then-drummer (and brother to guitarist Vogg), and left then-vocalist Covan in coma, I’m sure this had a terrible and eerie sense of déjà vu. I can’t even tell you how glad everyone here at MetalSucks is that things turned out alright this time.
