LAMB OF GOD REACH A RESOLUTION
UPDATE, 11:47 am EDT: Now there’s a teaser of a new song and a release date, too. So the release of this info definitely could have been better organzied, eh? Anyways, check it out below, it sounds pretty good! The album will be out January 24. Thanks to Metal Injection for the latest round of information…
UPDATE, 11:21 am EDT: The cover art has been released now, too. Check it out below, courtesy of Metal Underground. It actually makes the title seem way more aggro, since, in context of the image, it’s clear that resolution in question was not exactly peaceful.
Lamb of God’s awesome albums usually have awesome titles that are more metal than iron made from steel, like As the Palaces Burn and Wrath. But their new album is apparently going to be called Resolution, which, although emotionally very healthy, is not that metal, and seems almost odd coming from the band famous for songs such as “Now You’ve Got Something to Die For,” “The Subtle Arts of Murder and Persuasion,” and “Foot to the Throat.”
Of course, the title is really a non-issue. I don’t even usually consider album titles news, ’cause while they’re important from a marketing standpoint, at the end of the day, it’s all about the music, of course. So the album could be called Group Hug and feature the above irritating bumper sticker on the cover, and as long as the songs are good, it wouldn’t matter.
Resolution should be out in early 2012 January 24 via Epic.
