SOME “STRANGE” NEW SON OF AURELIUS

MetalSucks faves Son of Aurelius have released a pre-production demo, “Strange Aeons,” which will appear in its finished form on their new album. And as No Clean Singing points out, “it’s a strange choice as a musical tease for the next album” because there’s “no technical ‘wow’ factor.” (NCS also points out that there are no vocals, but that surprises me less.) You would think that SoA would tease fans with something a little more, um, upbeat I guess is the word?, but I don’t really think it matters; the track may just be an interlude or something, but it sounds pretty cool, and we’re all gonna check out the band’s new release anyway.

Son of Aurelius’ new album should be out sometime in 2012 on Good Fight.
