Flourishing

I have a serious case of the Mondays. Happy Humpday! TGIF! Whatever, I don’t give a fuck. Here are today’s hottest new music streams:

  • Brooklyn Vegan is streaming “By Which We’re Cemented” from Flourishing’s bruising new effort The Sum of All Fossils. Churning, roiling, intense and ugly are just some of the adjectives I’d use to describe Flourishing’s brand of post-hardcore bludgeoning. The band’s first full-length album will come out on August 2nd via The Path Less Traveled Records.

  • Coroner Records re-released Disarmonia Mundi’s 2006 album Mind Tricks on June 30th with a few bonus tracks, one of which features ex-Scar Symmetry vocalist Christian Älvestam on vocals. Speed + Alvestam on the same album = mind blown! Now let’s get those two on the same song.

  • The new track from Italian symphonic technical death metallers Fleshgod Apocalypse sounds pretty much as you’d expect — like symphonic technical death metal — which is a good thing. The band’s Nuclear Blast debut Agony comes out on August 9th.
