I got to thinking about supergroups once again last week after I finally caught up and checked out releases from side projects Spylacopa and Shrinebuilder, two “super” groups featuring members of Candiria/Isis/Made Out Of Babies/The Dillinger Escape Plan (Spylacopa) and St. Vitus/Om/Neurosis/Melvins (Shrinebuilder).  And I was instantly reminded how awesome the concept of a supergroup is.
