A DRUMMER ONCE LOST
Wow, what a bummer. Just yesterday we were talking about how A Life Once Lost just signed a new deal with Season of Mist, and how we’ll be getting a (hopefully excellent) new album from them this year, and sunshines and rainbows and bunnies and butterflies.
And now they’re down a member.
A statement from the band, via Lambgoat:
“So Justin Graves has made the very tough decision of leaving the band after this upcoming February four show run. He helped create a sound that was not as common in the scene as it is now back in 2002 when we started writing A Great Artist. We have traveled a good portion of the world together but now he has decided to… pursue another dream.”
I can’t find the statement elsewhere, so I’m not clear if Lambgoat added those ellipses, or if they’re part of the statement; assuming they’re part of the statement, that’s, uh, weird. Like, it seems to suggest that the phrase “pursue another dream” is facetious or something. Maybe Graves is leaving to open a cupcake shop or something?
In any case, like I said, this is a bummer.
But I’m still really stoked for the new ALOL album.
