OH, JUST, F*CK OFF, SEPULTURA

I can’t even fucking believe this. Max Cavalera has been calling for a reunion of the classic Sepultura line-up for awhile now, first blaming Andreas Kisser and then Paulo Jr. for the fact that it hasn’t happened yet; and then the current Sepultura line-up released a video in which they just killed the idea dead, dead, dead. And that should have been the end of it.

Unfortunately, it’s not. From Blabbermouth:

“In a brand new interview with Brazil’s Novo Metal, guitarist Andreas Kisser of Brazilian/American thrashers SEPULTURA was asked about the possibility of a reunion of the band’s classic lineup, featuring Max Cavalera on guitar/vocals and Max’s brother, Igor, on drums. ‘[It’s] not impossible,’ he replied, ‘but we cannot do something just for the sake of doing it. We would have to establish a new identity, [and rebuild the] friendship [between us].’”

No. It’s too late for this, fella. You said it wasn’t happening, us idiots took you seriously, and now you have to shut up about it. Because right now, both you and Max are making yourselves look bad. There’s a finite number of possibilities that would explain why you’re still teasing this idea — you love the attention, you’re the kind of guy who’s mean to a girl when he’s secretly in love with her, you’re really just haggling over money, etc. — and none of them are “Because Andreas and Max are awesome.”

So that’s it. I’m fucking over it. Call me if these dudes ever get their shit together. That’s why I didn’t even post a Sepultura song with this story. Fuck ’em. Fuck ’em in the ear. Fuck ’em in the other ear.
