SLAYER HOLIDAY FESTIVITIES CONTINUE WITH SLEIGH’R
In case last week’s ridiculous Slayer Christmas light show wasn’t enough to get you in the mood for the holiday season, maybe this will do the trick: the Ninkaski Brewing Company, a purveyor of fine boozes with whom I was previously unfamiliar, is making a seasonal brew called “Sleigh’r Dark Doüble Alt Ale.” I (obviously) haven’t had a chance to sample any yet, so I can’t speak to the ale’s quality, but it’s 7.2% ABV so it can’t be all bad.
Other specs for the beer nerds in the audience:
- Starting Gravity: 1068
- IBUs: 50
I confess, I had to look up the meaning of “starting gravity” as it pertains to beer. The most sophisticated questions I usually ask about alcoholic beverages are “How much does it cost?” and “How fast will it get me drunk?”
But I digress.
Some snooping around Ninkaski’s site shows that this isn’t a one-off thing from some square who saw his juvenile delinquent cousin in a Slayer shirt once and got a bright idea. No no no, clearly someone or everyone at this company is actually into metal. ‘Cause check out this other beer they make, too:
- Starting Gravity: 1065
- IBUs: 72
- ABV: 6.8%
Go here for more info. And if any of you have actually had these beers and can speak to their quality, well, don’t hold your tongue good sir or kind madam.
