BIG FOUR GIVING AWAY FREE VIDEO CLIP FOR FREE
So the DVD of the Big Four Sonisphere thing that aired in movie theaters this summer is coming out on November 2 (and possibly earlier, depending on the part of the world in which you live), and to get people pumped, the bands are giving away a FREE video of the now-infamous “Am I Evil?” mega-jam. That’s right, it’s FREE! You can download it here.
Or, you can just watch it below. ‘Cause it’s been available on the internet for free for months anyway. Every single performance clip from the DVD is online, in fact. You can watch them all at Metal Injection. Just sayin’.
Soooooo, yeah, I don’t really get this promotion I guess. In fact, I’m no longer sure I understand why anyone would buy this DVD, given — again — that all the clips have been online for months. Maybe if you’re a completist, or you wanna see the accompanying documentary, it’s a good investment. Doesn’t it also come with some funny guitar picks? Yeah, I guess if you like guitar picks with weird designs on ’em, you should buy this. Eddie Ojeda from Twisted Sister gave me one of his guitar picks once. I still carry it around in my wallet. Sometimes it falls out and I’m like, “Oh, yeah, remember that time that Eddie Ojeda from Twisted Sister gave me a guitar pick?”
Wait, what was I talking about?
Oh, right.
Much cooler than the free giveaway of an alread-free video, I think, is the below interviews with Dave Mustaine and Kerry King regarding King’s recent performance with Megadeth — his first in twenty-six years. I like this interview not just because it sheds some light on how the whole affair went down, but also because Dave Mustaine is, once again, clearly not sober.
