NEW FULL BLOWN CHAOS IN 2011!
As of last week, it has been three years since the release of Full Blown Chaos’ last album, Heavy Lies the Crown; on that very same anniversary date a year ago, front man/incredibly awesome and hilarious orator Ray Mazzola tweeted that the band, now a quintet, was working on a new album to come sometime in 2010. That’s obviously not gonna happen now, but Gun Shy Assassin reports that the group has found a new label home with Unearth vocalist Trevor Phipps’ Ironclad Recordings*, and is hoping to finally get some new music out to the fans in January of 2011:
“We have reinforced our style of writing with a more prevalent sound while keeping to our roots of audible mayhem,” vocalist Ray Mazzola says of the band’s forthcoming material. “We are a five-piece now so we are capable of doing so much more.”
Full Blown Chaos plan on touring for much of 2011.
“Touring as much as we have in the past is an absolute necessity in this era of music and genre,” Mazzola added. “You need to be in everyones face and make them remember you wether they like it or not. There are so many heavy bands out there its hard to distinguish ones self by music alone sometimes. Our band and music stands out because you can feel and hear the struggle and time we have invested. That alone will set us apart from the impetuous herd of todays groups.”
I know that this band has endured quite a bit over the past few years, so I don’t fault them for taking so long in between releases; still, I’m a greedy motherfucker, and I wants me some new FBC, so I’m glad a new offering is finally coming to fruition. And it will definitely be great to see this band tour a bunch.
So while we wait just a little longer for this album… if you’ve never read my interview with Mazzola from 2008, well, you really ought to, ’cause it’s funny as fuck.

*Even though FBC were most recently signed to Ferret, before that they were on Jamey Jasta’s Stillborn Records. Since they have such a good history with labels run by famous front men, perhaps if for some reason it doesn’t work out with Ironclad, they can sign with Guy Kozowyk’s Black Market Activities next?
