CLASSIC HATEBREED SHOW FLYERS: A GUIDED TOUR
My top five show flyers… okay, it’s really six, but only because I had a tough time deciding! Keep in mind this is based on the memories, not the flyers themselves!
This is the original flyer that I made at Kinko’s. As soon as we got the call to play the show, I was so excited that I ran to the bus stop and caught the next bus downtown – but I quickly realized that I didn’t have anything to make the flyer out of. So I went next door to News Haven (a newspaper/magazine stand) and ripped a page out of Metal Maniacs, then I blew it up and cut out the Machine Head logo and pasted it over the photo I blew up. I listed us above Stuck Mojo ’cause we had a bigger local draw, but they played over us. The promoter was mad that I did that! Hahaha… oh well. The show was awesome.
I booked this show just so Hatebreed could play with Crowbar! Who knew I would be in a band and record two records with the guy fourteen years later!
This is such a legendary line up! What an honor it was to share the stage with those bands that night. Agnostic Front destroyed the place. This is hardcore history right here! I look at this flyer and it brings so many memories back. This was one of the first flyers I made on my friend Dave’s computer. He was one of the only people I knew who had any money, haha – he must have hated me for using him to make so many flyers that year. I was amazed that I didn’t have to do so much cutting and pasting!
This flyer hung proud on my wall for many years. Aaron from Death Threat’s brother drew it for us. It was a very big deal for a CT band
to headline CBGB’s. This was a true milestone in our career. After this we went on to headline and sell out L’Amour’s, Irving Plaza & The
Roseland. That’s just CRAZY!
This was such a great moment for us, because we got to play the arena right down the road from where we started the band and had rehearsed in 1994/1995. Not only that, but Halford requested for us to play, and Anthrax played with Belladona on vocals. What a night this was. I still can’t believe we got to do this show.
