FUNERAL DOOM = COLOSSEUM

I don’t as much love the sub-genre of funeral doom so much as I love the fact that there even is a kind of music called funeral doom. I mean, what the fuck?? Only in metal.

Anywho, Finnish kings of funeral doom Colosseum have a new track called “Towards The Infinite” that they’ve made available for free download on their official website, and it’s officially the most death-ridden, dark, gloomy track I’ve ever heard, every bit fitting of a funeral. If I were killing babies, this would be the soundtrack.

The track comes from Colosseum’s upcoming album Chapter 2: Numquam, due in early 2009 via Firedoom (natch) Music. Peep it below.
