SIGH. ZIMMERS HOLE DROP OFF TOUR. THAT WAS UNEXPECTED.

Zimmers Hole have backed out of their MetalSucks co-sponsored U.S. tour with Sigh and Unexpect. I know because I read about it on Blabbermouth. I feel about as well informed as the Bush administration right now.

In case you’re not familiar with Zimmer’s Hole, they’re basically Strapping Young Lad, but without all the genius baggage.

The reason given for the cancellation was immigration problems, which seems plausible enough; still, I’ve had to fend off Jewish guilt since I read the news, ’cause I keep thinking, “If only we’d done something different, if only we’d promoted the tour more, we could have saved Zimmer’s Hole! WE COULD HAVE SAVED ZIMMER’S HOLE!” Which is ridiculous. ‘Cause this isn’t about the high cost of gas; money had nothing to do with this.

I haven’t read anything about Sigh or Unexpect backing out of the tour, so I’m gonna assume they’ll still be coming to play in your town, or a town within several hours driving distance from your town, real soon. Here are tour dates:
