NEW GENERIC METALCORE FROM HASTE THE DAY
I’m not really a fan of Haste the Day, Christian music, or Christian metalcore — but I have to hand it to Haste the Day for writing one of the tastiest riffs metalcore has ever seen (“Pressure the Hinges,” off the album of the same name). It was of interest to me, then, when MetalSucks Maniac Matteo Boxy alerted us to the fact that the band has a new song called “68” up on their MySpace.
Sadly it isn’t as enjoyable as “Pressure the Hinges” (the song, not the album) and there’s nary a new idea here, but if you like this kind of thing you’ll probably go nuts for it. Though there’s a certain riff in the breakdown at the end that’s pretty damn tasty (you’ll know it when you hear it).
The band’s new album Dreamer drops October 14th on Solid State.
