MASTODON’S “SLEEPING GIANT” IS THE VIDEO OF 2007

For creativity, progressiveness and brutality all rolled into one, Mastodon is Exhibit A in modern metal. It was no surprise then that their video for the epic “Sleeping Giant” was just the same. This Star Trek-kitch inspired piece of video art was easily my favorite video of ’07.

Will we see a new Mastodon album in 2008? Let’s hope.
