CANADIANS RARELY ROCK LIKE THEY’RE AMERICANS BUT PRIDE TIGER SURE DO GIVE IT THEIR FRICKIN’ ALL
How do a bunch of categorically tepid Vancouver Canucks end up sounding like a band of ebullient backyard Minnesotans frying bacon at a kegger in the August heat of the Summer of ’79?
True, the band is rehashing their own shtick by the end of debut album The Lucky Ones, but goddammit, if there is a North-North American version of “That 70s Show”, I trust that a swaggery, heartland-esque cut from Pride Tiger plays every other time a totally awesome character does something invariably radical.

Here’s a fun tidbit: Pride Tiger’s album was produced, engineered, and mixed by Matt Slade (Slayer, Monster Magnet, Fu Manchu). Wild!
