NEW SOILWORK VIDEO FOR “EXILE” FROM SWORN TO A GREAT DIVIDE

Apparently the first single from the new Soilwork album Sworn to a Great Divide (October 23, Century Media) will be “Exile,” the track we posted Tuesday. While the song has grown on me to some degree since my initial listen, it still sounds like it’s lacking a little something. In fact, I think this song sounds more like a Killswitch Engage song than a Soilwork song, and though I love Killswitch Engage, I was hoping Soilwork would write a Soilwork song rather than an imitation of a Soilwork song. I’m still holding out hope that the rest of the album won’t remind us of Peter Wichers’ departure as much as this song does. In any case, here’s the video, and it’s pretty enjoyable; the chick is a babe, and we highly approve of the band’s choice of amplifiers.
