IN THE “SAW THIS ONE COMING” DEP’T: TOMMY LEE QUITS MOTLEY CRUE
Fresh off a “Kid Peddle” bitch-slap and having recently finished a mammoth two-year world tour that undoubtedly left him a billionaire, Tommy Lee, in the midst of a lawsuit involving his manager, has quit Motley Crue [Blabbermouth]:
According to the amended complaint filed by Motley Crue against artist manager Carl Stubner and his three companies Sanctuary Group, Inc., Sanctuary Artist Management, Inc. and Carl Stubner Productions, Inc., drummer Tommy Lee “recently informed [bassist Nikki] Sixx and [guitarist Mick] Mars, the shareholders of MCI [Motley Crue, Inc.], that he was resigning from the band and his resignation was accepted.”
In a nutshell, the aforementioned lawsuit alleges that Stubner, while simultaneously managing both Motley Crue and Tommy Lee, cost Motley Crue lost revenue because he was looking out mostly for Lee, who paid him a higher commission than the band. The lawsuit also alleges he demanded tickets from the band and sold them at scalper prices for personal profit.
Well, now the world can rest easily knowing that Lee is free to do more shitty rap-metal side projects. Oh wait… nevermind.
