NEW AVENGED SEVENFOLD SONG “CRITICAL ACCLAIM” UP FOR STREAMING

Avenged Sevenfold have posted a new song, “Critical Acclaim,” for streaming in its entirety on their MySpace page. The single will be available for purchase on August 28 through iTunes, and the self-titled album will be out October 16. My immediate thoughts are as follows:

1. YES!! All of you so-called hard-rock / metal fans who don’t like Avenged Sevenfold are totally missing out; this is the band you’ve been waiting for for years. Seriously, what are you guys thinking? Don’t be distracted by the tattoos and haircuts (or do be distracted if you like that sort of thing). This band is fucking AWESOME.
2. Clearly they are adequate (if not good) at self-producing.
3. Someone finally convinced The Rev to ditch the piccolo snare. Thank god.
