SOMEBODY PLEASE REQUEST “LOVING THE ALIEN”

Velvet Revolver will be doing a special MySpace gig where they’ll be taking live requests from fans. This would be a good opportunity to see if the band is even capable of playing some of their better songs that never get added to their setlist – or even “Messages,” the iTunes only “bonus track” which is as good as or better than anything else on Libertad. But instead I’m sure we’ll be treated to our eight trillionth rendition of that weird “someboday raped my tapeworm abortion” song from Contraband.

In any case, fans can even try and attend the gig by e-mailing myspace at velvetrevolver.com and attempting to answer the trivia question “Who is the song ‘Dirty Little Thing About’?” (Pssst… it’s Paris Hilton!).
