GET READY FOR THE BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR

Dethklok’s Dethalbum is coming out September 25. There’ll be two versions – a single disc and a deluxe double disc which will include some extra songs and the debut episode of the upcoming second season (!) – and for once, I can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t spend the extra cash to have the “special edition.” SYL’s Gene Hoglan guests, and song titles include “Briefcase Full of Guts,” “Murmaider,” “Birthday Dethday,” “Bloodrocuted,” and “Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle.” Plus, Hoglan says there will be a tour, but I have to imagine that he’s either kidding or that we’ve finally invented the technology to make Who Framed Roger Rabbit? a reality.

As if all this wasn’t great enough, the entire first season of Metalocalypse becomes avail on DVD a week later, on October 2. Fuck motherfuckin’ yeah, motherfuckers.
