VIDEO OF THE DAY: STEREOMUD, “PAIN”
Part 3 of 3 in this week’s series of trite nu-metal videos. As you may have gathered from yesterday’s post about the new band Love Said No, Stereomud was a supergroup featuring Corey Lowery (bass, ex-Stuck Mojo, Dark New Day), Joey Z (guitar, Life of Agony), Dan Richardson (drums, Pro-Pain), and rounded out by Erik Rogers on vocals and John Fattoruso on guitar. Their first album pretty much sucked except for the stellar first single “Pain” and second single “Steppin’ Away,” which were paired adjacently in the album sequence. This video’s got it all, with the flashing lights, stop-motion shots, and fake live performance. The funniest thing about Stereomud were their matching goatees, as if mandated by some decree from the corner office at the record label. It sure made for some funny jabs in the press, but I gotta hand it to the boys in Stereomud for writing a damn fine song with “Pain.”
For some reason, the assclowns at SonyBMG won’t allow their YouTube videos to be embedded (I’M GIVING YOUR BAND FREE PROMOTION, YOU ASSWIPES!), so you’ll have to click through here to view it. Enjoy.
