UPDATED! – ANTHRAX ANNOUNCE A GIG… BUT WHO WILL SING?

According to this report on Blabbermouth, Anthrax will play Loud Fest ’07 on August 18 at Haverhill Stadium in Haverhill, Massachusetts. What no one yet seems to know, of course, if just who will handle vocal duties for the show. It obviously won’t be Joey Belladonna and it seems pretty unlikely that it will mark the much desired (by us, at least) return of John Bush, either.

Which begs the inevitable question: will this be Corey Taylor‘s live debut with the band? According to Pollstar, Taylor has a gap in his itinerary with Stone Sour on this date, and should be somewhere on the East Coast. If this will, indeed, be Taylor’s first show with the ‘Thrax, it should be, at the very least, one of the more interesting concerts of the year.

UPDATE: Blabbermouth now reports that Anthrax will NOT play the show, but, rather, than it will be a Joey Belladonna solo performance. Oh well.
