THE NEW CANDLEBOX SONGS SOUND LIKE… CANDLEBOX

Once upon a time, way back yonder in the mid ’90s, there was a hard rock band named Candlebox. Maverick Records signed them in 1992, dressed them up in flannel to capitalize on the Seattle grunge sensation, and the rest of the story you know. Candlebox disbanded in the late ’90s but got together last summer for a reunion tour, and now they’re back with a new record set to be released later this year. The band has posted two new songs on their MySpace and they sound like… well, Candlebox. And I mean that in a good way. They’re also doing an East Coast and Midwest tour this July, so dust off that flannel and make sure you know all the words to “Far Behind.”
