SPINAL TAP TO BREAK LIKE THE WIND TO FIGHT GLOBAL WARMING

UK metal legends SPINAL TAP have announced they will perform at the UK incarnation of this summer’s Al Gore led Live Earth mega-concert, according to a report at Idolator [via The Guardian]. “They’re not that environmentally conscious, but they’ve heard of global warming,” said [This Is Spinal Tap director Rob] Reiner. “Nigel thought it was just because he was wearing too much clothing – that if he just took his jacket off it would be cooler.”

The event is to take place July 7th at Wembley Stadium, with the US version simultaneously occurring at Giants Stadium in the environmental hotbed of the universe, New Jersey. Five other concerts in 5 other cities worldwide will also take place the same day. Other MetalSucks.net approved acts at the UK concert include… um, actually there aren’t any. It’s mostly lame indie rock bands and has beens. But Spinal Tap will surely rock the house.
