BROOKLYN METALFEST

Who said there’s no metal scene in New York City? Brooklyn Metalfest is back for year two, set to take place Friday, June 22 and Saturday, June 23 at The Hook in the Red Hook area of Brooklyn. Though still in the works, this year’s lineup already features a significant upgrade from last year’s gathering. BYZANTINE, BRAND NEW SIN, ATTACKER and former ANTHRAX guitarist Rob Caggiano have been confirmed thus far, with a slew of local bands to support over the course of two days.

The first band will hit the stage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and at 12 noon on Saturday. Admission will be $15 dollars for single-day tickets and $20 for two-day passes. Like last year, there will also be free BBQ for all paid admissions. Other bands that are scheduled to appear include former MANOWAR/DICTATORS guitarist Ross The Boss, SEVEN WITCHES, MAGUS BEAST, CONSTRICTED, ZANDELLE, OVERLORDE, SKULLSHIFTER, VICTIM OF PAIN, TWILIGHT ODYSSEY, BORGO PASS, DEVILS ISLAND, CASTROFATE, ILLUSION OF FATE, DISBELIEVER, CHICAGO TYPEWRITER, AUDIBLE THOUGHT and ELOQUOR.
