HATE ETERNAL, I, MONARCH
The first time I heard the title track from this album, I thought the CD was scratched and the same part half-second of the song was playing on an endless repeat; then I realized I was just listening to Derek Roddy playing the fastest blast beat the world has ever known, and the song was supposed to sound that way. Hate Eternal has fallen on hard times as of late, with both Roddy and now bassist Randy Piro leaving the band, but Erik Rutan still has solace as a producer for Cellador, Soilent Green, The Absence, Goatwhore, and Cannibal Corpse. Give this disc a spin and let me know if you can figure out how the fuck Roddy does that.
