TUESDAY FUN
Do you ever say a word so much that it sounds funny and loses meaning? That just happened to me with the word “Tuesday.” Tuesday. Say it out loud. Doesn’t it sound weird? What the hell is a “Tues” anyway that it’s worthy of having a day named after it? I actually just got so confused about it that I had to look in my calendar to see if, indeed, that was the name of the day that is today.
Today’s rock-worthy new releases:
- Shadows Fall, Threads of Life (check out our review of the album)
- Chevelle, Vena Sera
- Kings of Leon, Because of the Times
- Static-X, Cannibal
- American Head Charge, Can’t Stop the Machine
- Manowar, The Gods of War
- Poison the Well, Versions
Also, we missed the boat last week on Clutch‘s From Beale Street to Oblivion which has been getting rave reviews from everyone not named Pitchfork, who apparently let this one pass under their hipster police radar. So go pay your local record clerk a visit while he’s still got a job and buy some music today.
