LAMB OF GOD WILL PLAY OZZFEST ’07

After the controversy surrounding Korn’s premature announcement that Lamb of God would play this summer’s Family Values tour*, LOG drummer Chris Adler has not-so-subtly hinted to the band’s fan club that they’d be playing this year’s Ozzfest. No word yet on whether it will be a mainstage or second stage slot.

I think LOG are a perfect fit for this summer’s edition of America’s biggest traveling festival: they have more than enough cred in the metal community to keep die-hards interested, but can still stand to benefit from the audience they’ll inevitably receive when audiences who might not normally shell out 80-150 bucks for a ticket show up for the free gig.

*The nu-metallers tried to blame the whole mix-up on LOG, but as they just suffered through more confusion after the bullshit rumor that Sevendust would be playing the tour made headlines, you have to think that Korn just don’t have their shit together.
