Jackson, Mississippi’s Courtney Barnes is the latest local news interview subject whose, um, colorful personality has led to his television appearance going viral. Usually, when the time comes to set these sorts of clips to music, they become the domain of the vocoder set… but this time, metal is getting the first crack, thanks to our friends Andrew Baena and Brian Storm of Massive Metal Covers!

There are already over 300 declared candidates for the 2016 U.S. Presidential election. Why not add one more?
OK, OK, Andrew W.K. isn’t gonna run for President… probably, although he doesn’t shut the door on the idea entirely (“You never know!”). But MetalSucks video correspondent Brian Storm toyed with that idea when he interviewed Mr. W.K. after the latter’s show in Virginia Beach last week, and Andrew toyed with it right back at him. The two also discussed the Westboro Baptist Church, W.K.’s collection of pets and non-pets, his longtime love of MetalSucks (aw shucks, thanks, dude!) and, duh, partying.

“Ever since I became a musician, I’ve never been more financially stable!”
One ideal in which we strongly believe here at MetalSucks: the best way to deal with pain is through laughter! Sure, everything sucks right now, but it will suck slightly less if you can try and have a sense of humor about it!
To that end: yeah, being a musician can be a rough ride… but there’s no reason we can’t have some chuckles along the bumpy road, right? And so, the above quote is just one of the nine things musicians NEVER say according our Mr. Brian Storm (who would know, being a musician himself). Check out the video below for the other eight!!!
