LED ZEPPELIN ARE HOLDING NOVEMBER 26 AT THE O2 ARENA IN LONDON
This morning MetalSucks reported [via NME.com] that Robert Plant confirmed a possible Led Zeppelin reunion tentatively scheduled for November in London. This report, though NME.com seemed to think was serious, was still somewhat dubious due to the nature of the informant’s run-in with Plant himself.
However, we now have corroboration from a second source. According to an industry-insider who is a reputable source (our informant has asked for his name to be withheld), Led Zeppelin has a hold for November 26 at the O2 Arena in London. For those who aren’t familiar with the way booking works, an artist’s agent will generally place a “hold” on a venue when considering doing a show there; this prevents the venue from booking any other artists on that date, but the venue does not yet have to pay a deposit (typically 50%) to the artist because no formal offer has been made and the show is not officially confirmed. So while this latest bit of news certainly doesn’t confirm that the show is happening, it absolutely lends credibility to the notion that this show is being seriously discussed. There is no word on whether or not any other venues in London are being held by Led Zeppelin on that date.
