KORN WORKING ON COVERS ALBUM; METALSUCKS WORKING ON SOUNDPROOF EARPLUGS

Does anyone remember the awful cover Korn did a few years back of Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall?” By “cover” I mean “desecration” and by “awful” I mean “truly, unebelievably, mind-numbingly bad.” It was really that terrible. As if Jonathan Davis’ grumbled whiney take on Roger Waters wasn’t bad enough, the guitar solo… words can’t even describe it. “Butchered” and “talentless hack” come readily to mind, but those words don’t even do justice to the INjustice James “Munky” Shaffer did to David Gilmour’s subtlety and sweet-handed brilliance.

That having been said, Gary Graff of Billboard.com reports that Korn is working on what will likely become a full album of covers. Songs by Faith No More and Nine Inch Nails have already been slaughtered, while Prince and Ozzy Osbourne songs are tentatively on the chopping block. Run for cover (zing!).
