Rock on the Range 2014 Has One of the Best Worst Line-Ups Ever
Iann Robinson once compared going to a festival to being made to listen to an iPod shuffle containing equal amounts of music you like and do not like. And while I think there are definitely festivals which are far more interesting than that (like MDF), it’s certainly an apt metaphor for the just-announced Rock on the Range 2014 line-up, which includes Motörhead, Mastodon, Gojira, Down, Exodus, Kvelertak, Suicidal Tendencies, Killswitch Engage, and Twelve Foot Ninja… and also includes Kid Rock, Five Finger Death Punch, Seether, Chevelle, Fozzy, and the Butcher Babies. Which is to say nothing about the two quotation-mark-ridden bands with whom I personally have a love/hate relationship (those would be “Guns N’ Roses” and “Slayer”).
Granted, the festival is called “Rock on the Range,” not “Metal in the Midwest” or whatever, but still. This really sounds like it has the potential to be the best worst weekend of your life, doesn’t it?
Rock on the Range 2014 takes place May 16-18 in Columbus, OH. You can get more details here.
