The Ned Flanders-Themed Metal Band Okilly Dokilly Made It Onto The Simpsons

Congratulations are in order for Okilly Dokilly, “the world’s only ‘Nedal’ band.” The Ned Flanders-themed outfit and their recent single/music video, “White Wine Sprtizer,” were featured in the closing credits of this past weekend’s episode of The Simpsons.

Says the show’s executive producer and showrunner, Al Jean, of the cameo:

“We saw the video and knew they had to be on the show. We do not endorse their message of indiscriminate drinking of white wine spritzers.”

I have to imagine this is pretty much the apex of achievement for a band that has devoted their entire existence to the forever-running animated show. Like, I dunno where the heck they go from here. Unless the Dio hologram people start touring a “live” version of The Simpsons, and Okilly Dokilly play support and/or operate as the backing band, it’s probably gonna be hard to top this.
