Maynard Thinks New Tool Album Will Come Out Mid-Summer
A member of Tool said something about new music!! STOP THE PRESSES!!
This time it’s Maynard, who chimed in with something way more informative than the simple “no” he gave earlier this week with regards to his own drummer’s recent claim the new album would be out in April.
In a post to Twitter along with an amusing meme (embedded at the bottom of this post), Maynard had this to say:
“Update- Midway through mixing. Most likely be a few recalls. Then some arguing. Then Mastering, Artwork, Video, Special Packaging, etc. Best Ballpark Guess- Release date somewhere between Mid May and Mid July. More focused updates to follow as we progress.”
That’s all well and good, but using history as an example — where everything Tool-related takes longer than expected — I’m just gonna go out on a limb and predict we won’t have the new album in our hands until September at the earliest. Anyone wanna take me up on that bet?
