Mötley Crüe Are Doing Something with Peace, Peanuts, and Metal on Superbowl Sunday
Mötley Crüe have posted the following bizarre message on Twitter:
✌️ + ????+ ???? 02.03.19 #ad
— Mötley Crüe (@MotleyCrue) December 31, 2018
February 3, 2019, the Internet tells me, is Superbowl Sunday. The Internet also tells me that the “ad” hashtag denotes this was a paid tweet. The Internet does not tell me what the fuck the peace, peanut, and devil horns emojis are supposed to mean. I hope whoever paid the band to send this message out didn’t pay a lot, because whatever it is they’re trying to promote, they didn’t do a stellar job.
Perhaps not coincidentally, the movie version of The Dirt, Mötley Crüe’s collective autobiography and possibly the most entertaining book ever written, comes out March 22 on Netflix. It was directed by Jeff Tremaine (Jackass) and stars Douglas Booth (Jupiter Ascending) as Nikki Sixx, rapper Machine Gun Kelly as Tommy Lee, Daniel Webber (The Punisher) as Neil, Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) as Mick Mars, and Tony Cavalero (School of Rock) as Ozzy Osbourne.
