Matt Pike Has a Medical Emergency; High on Fire Drop off Upcoming Tour with Municipal Waste
Bad news if you were looking forward to seeing High on Fire on their tour with Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust, and Haunt: the band has been forced to drop off the trek ’cause frontman Matt Pike has a medical emergency. Explains the group in a statement…
“Matt has a medical emergency culminating in the partial amputation of one of his toes. The scheduling of this procedure is immediate and the recovery time will overlap our intended tour with Municipal Waste. We will unfortunately be unable to participate in this tour but will be back stronger than ever in 2019!”
Here’s hoping Mr. Pike has a speedy recovery. This a bummer end to the Year of the Pike, for sure.
In better news, the other three bands will proceed with the tour as planned, so the shows should still be a buncha fun. Dates are here.
