Manowar Issue Statement Regarding Karl Logan’s Child Pornography Arrest
It was revealed yesterday that Manowar guitarist Karl Logan was arrested back in August for possession of child pornography. He was booked at the local jail in Charlotte, NC and later released on $35,000 bail.
The band has now issued a statement regarding the matter via their Facebook page, and while it’s short on details one thing is very clear: Logan will not be performing with the band any time soon, if ever again. It reads in full:
“Regarding Karl Logan
“With regard to Karl Logan’s arrest and the charges against him:
“Due to the fact that Karl and his attorneys are dealing with these issues, he will not perform with MANOWAR.
“The new album and upcoming tour will not be affected.

Logan was arrested for third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, which is defined by local laws as when a person, “knowing the character or content of the material, possesses material that contains a visual representation of a minor engaging in sexual activity.”
The 53-year old has been with Manowar since 1994. The band is currently two years deep into their farewell tour, with dates scheduled for early 2019.
