Manowar Guitarist Karl Logan Arrested on Child Pornography Possession Charges

Manowar guitarist Karl Logan was arrested earlier this year for possession of child pornography, The Blast reports.

The website for the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office shows that Logan was arrested in Charlotte, NC back in August and was charged with third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The Blast reports that Logan was charged with six counts while arrest records show three. He was booked into the local jail and has since been freed on $35,000 bail.

Third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor is defined by local laws as when a person, “knowing the character or content of the material, possesses material that contains a visual representation of a minor engaging in sexual activity.” In other words, he was aware of the content he had; it wasn’t an accident.

The 53-year old has been with Manowar since 1994. The band is currently two years deep into their farewell tour, although they aren’t on the road at the moment. Neither the band nor Logan have yet to comment publicly.
