Bring Me the Horizon Release New Song “Wonderful Life” Featuring Cradle of Filth’s Dani Filth
Let’s keep this simple: “Wonderful Life,” the new Bring Me the Horizon song featuring a guest spot by Cradle of Filth’s Dani Filth, isn’t going to change anyone’s opinion about Bring Me the Horizon. Or Cradle of Filth, for that matter. If you have previously enjoyed these artists, I suspect you’ll enjoy this song. If you haven’t, you probably won’t. Easy peasy.
As for the accompanying video, it’s based around the increasingly-played-out conceit of some not-normal-looking dudes doing very normal stuff (e.g., eating breakfast, mowing the lawn, grocery shopping, etc.). It’s kinda funny when Mr. Filth does it because he’s decked out in full regalia, but not so much when the BMTH peeps do it because for large swaths of the population that’s just what people look like now. Oli Sykes might have seemed freakish thirty, twenty, or even just ten years ago, but now he just looks like a dad from Brooklyn. Shrug.
“Wonderful Life” will appear on Bring Me the Horizon’s new album, Amo, which comes out January 11.
